Engineers' Day: Call for participation

Engineers' Day * World Engineering Day

Dear friends of the Engineers' Day

In the meantime, we are a huge step further and can announce concrete info about the 4th Engineers' Day (Engineers' Day - World Engineering Day) on March 4, 2021.

What started on a small scale in March 2018 will become the most important day for engineers.

Basic idea of Engineers' Day

  • Engineers' Day is intended to raise public awareness of the outstanding achievements of male and female engineers and to promote the next generation of engineers.
  • Engineers' Day is intended to highlight the central role of engineers in the development and realization of solutions for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the same time, it provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the SDGs. Link to the 17 SDGs.

In addition to the events taking place throughout Switzerland, which can also be organized by you, we from the organizing committee are planning an event on March 4 called "Werkstatt Ingenieurszukunft" for guests from business, education, politics and the associations as well as for the national media.

At this event, our Patron President, Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, intends to demonstrate to the press the importance of the engineering profession for Switzerland's economic success, and we will also discuss the contribution of engineers to the achievement of sustainability goals.

How can you make your presence felt on Engineers' Day?

You can support our initiative with a contribution and will be listed or mentioned on the homepage www.tagderingenieure.ch und in the social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc.) as a Donator 2020/2021.

Donator Gold (including "Werkstatt Ingenieurszukunft" in Bern).

In order to be able to accompany all events in a media-effective and professional way, we are looking for sponsors who financially support the "Werkstatt Ingenieurszukunft" and generally the platform of the Engineers' Day.
